Weekly Commentary – Awaiting the bright economy
Five months of this year almost gone, evidence mounts that a mid-year slowdown taking place in the world economy. The underlying momentum in the world economy is weaker than expectation at this point of the economic cycle.
Since last Thursday's stock markets drop, investors continue to digest the comments of Bernanke about US economy
Some poor business surveys from China have also had an negative impact, suggesting China economy is struggling for growth momentum.
We have yet to see evidence of a convincing, self-sustained positive connection between real growth and stock price.
The world economic growth seems to be resting, and there is no sign of anything that will curb it significantly.
