Market worry Fed reduced bond-buying program since September, global stock market was volatility. The S&P 500 Stock Index fell by 2.1%. Nikkei 225 index slightly rise by 0.26%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng Index grew by 3.26%.
Japan's second quarter GDP lower than expected
Japan's economy grew at an annual rate of 2.6% in the second quarter of 2013, the Cabinet Office said last Monday. The growth was slower than the 3.6% increase expected by analysts. The government also said expansion in the first quarter was 3.8% instead of 4.1%.
Greece beats Jan-July budget target
Greece’s government primary budget surplus was recorded 2.57 billion euros, better than interim target for a deficit of 3.14 billion euros said by Greek Deputy Finance Minister. He also regard primary surplus may be achieved in this year.
Japan's core machinery orders rise 6.8% in the second quarter
The nation’s seasonally adjusted core machinery orders in second quarter grew 6.8%, up for the first time in five quarters, a Cabinet Office report showed Tuesday. Although Japan's core machinery orders fell 2.7 percent in June, that was better than 7.2% decline expected by analyst.
Euro-Zone industrial output rises in second quarter
Industrial output in euro zone rose at its fastest pace in second quarter over two year and half reported by European Union's Eurostat statistics last Tuesday. However, the industrial output rise in the euro zone was patchy and heavily reliant on Germany. The industrial output in June was up 0.7% from May, and 0.3% from the same month of 2012.
